Sitters of Los Angeles is a web platform and subsidiary business owned and operated by Nannies of Los Angeles, LLC. that will be referred to herein referred to as the ‘Site’.

You are a professional child care provider, herein referred to as a ‘Sitter’, that has been approved to list their profile on the Site to advertise services to members of the Site.

Sitter understands that their profile may be removed from the Site at anytime and for any reason, without notice or explanation.

Sitter Vs. Nanny

Sitters work occasionally. Less than 15 hours per week in regular, ongoing positions. Or less than 4 weeks in a temporary full or part time position.

If you are being asked to work position that offers 16 or more hours per week and last for more than 4 weeks please contact the office.

We have a nanny placement service called Nannies of Los Angeles that can assist you as a nanny and the member looking to make a more permanent agreement.

Our nanny placement agency offers help with nanny contracts and is able to connect the family with payroll services to ensure that you are being paid legally as a nanny.

Nannies of Los Angeles also offers referral fees of up to $250 for referring a family that secures a long term placement (12 month contract) with Nannies of Los Angeles, and an additional $250 if you refer a nanny who places in a long term position.

If you help a Sitters of Los Angeles member become a Nannies of Los Angeles client and place yourself in a long term position (12 month contract) we’ll offer you $500!


All messages from members seeking care are submitted via the website and emailed to the office for screening and are forwarded to you to respond directly.

Most available sitters respond within 2 hours of receiving messages, so being prompt to reply will help you book!

ALL SITTERS will receive emails that include the subject line Contact All from members who want to check the availability of all sitters and receive multiple responses to compare profiles.

You do not need to reply to these members if you are unavailable.

Personal messages will include Contact First Name in the subject line and should be responded to promptly whether available or not.

If you are unable to respond to personal messages, please contact the office as we can set an away message prompting the member to contact alternative sitters.

Please note, forwarding or CC’ing the office into any email message with Contact All in the subject line will also forward your reply to ALL SITTERS.
